On May 18th, 1980 Mt. St. Helens spewed sulfuric ash and molten lava across miles of Washington landscape. Just a few thousand miles away in Rockford, Illinois I was born. Talk about being born under a bad sign! This ties in to my personal philosophy that anything and everything can happen at any given time so the one who is best prepared has the advantage.

Currently I live with my fiance Stephanie, and my cat Pumpkin. We have recently taken up camping, getting in all of the "culture" as we can while going to school in Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and working on our Masters Degrees.

I have been in Carbondale for over 5 and a half years now and words like soda and 'reckon are a part of my everyday vocabulary. What I have learned living in Southern Illinois is that good opportunities are few and far between so when one comes up you have to be prepared and act fast.
